Located in the upper highlands area of Sarawak, the forests in this area are part of a proposal to create a massive 200,000 hectare national park. Come experience the unique traditions of the Kenyah and Saban tribes who live here. As their slogan says, come as a guest, come back again as family.
Long Banga village is a short flight from Miri city, Sarawak. There are only two flights available weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Bookings can be made on Malaysia airlines local service, Maswings. Cost of a Long Banga stay
USD30.00 per person per night. Includes breakfast, lunch and dinner prepared from locally harvested foods.
USD27.50 per person per night Group Discount for 10 pax or more. Includes breakfast,lunch and dinner
USD25.00 per person per night for Extended Stay of 14 nights or more. Includes breakfast, lunch and dinner
Guided Activities Costs in Long Banga village
USD40 Day Walk. Explore the surrounding areas in Long Banga village with an English speaking guide. Maximum of 6 pax per guide. Groups larger than 6 pax will require two guides. This activity starts after breakfast in your homestay. The guides will take you on a short walk around the jungles surrounding Long Banga village. Lunch will be served along the way.
USD50. Night walk. Night time is when the wild life comes out. This activity starts after lunch in your homestay. The guides will take you to a short walk towards areas known for wildlife. Dinner will be served along the way consisting of simple foods that local hunter gatherers pack for themselves. Maximum of 6 pax per guide. Groups larger than 6 pax will require two guides.
USD70. 4x4 Exploration. Day Trip. This activity starts after breakfast at your homestay for a maximum of 4 pax. You will be driven to a jungle entry point to see some of the best waterfalls and forests around Long Banga village. A jungle trek will take you to explore the forests before arrival to the waterfall. Lunch will be served at the waterfall with optional activities to fish for lunch or simply to enjoy the cool waters and relax. After lunch, continue to explore more of the forests before heading back to the village.
- Optional 4x4 Exploration. Night Trip. This activity starts after lunch at your homestay for a maximum of 4 pax. You will be driven to a jungle entry point where we are building a wildlife observation area. The sighting of wildlife is best from dusk to night when they come out to forage. Dinner will be served at a spot away from the observation area so as to reduce human scent and activities which drives wildlife away. Wildlife sighting is not guaranteed and should be considered a bonus if seen.
